Annual Meeting - March 15, 2008

The 2008 Pine Tree Holstein Annual Meeting was called to order by President Jim Strout. He welcomed all and thanked them for attending on a stormy day. The Secretary’s report was accepted as printed on a motion by Blaine Moon, and a second by Bruce Haley. The Treasurer’s report, also in printed form, was accepted on a motion by Peter Waterman and seconded by Bruce Haley. Show: President Strout reported that the 2007 Show had a few less entries. The show was judged by Bob Fitzsimmons. Premier Breeder was Brigeen Farms. The Grand Champion was Brigeen Convincer Rhonda shown by Brigeen Farms.
Old Business: John Nutting questioned what happened to getting info on all pedigrees w/Canadian data following the pedigree. It has been discussed several times and so far no changes have taken place (still a fee must be paid). Motion by Betsy Bullard to continue supporting Eastern States Trophy ; second Kathy Haley, so moved. Motion by Blaine Moon to donate $50 to ME Ag in the Classroom; second by Jim Davis, so moved. Brian Keene presented info on Website usage and requested we continue supporting the site for 12 months at a cost of $195. This was approved.
New Business: Rick Davis asked about having a “Get Class” at state show and John Nutting asked about having a “Young Dry Dow” class and an “Old Dry Cow” class at state show. Jim Strout will discuss it with the Show Committee.
